How DELF-DALF sessions work
- A general-public session runs over three consecutive days: DELF A1 and A2 on the first day, DELF B1 and B2 on the second, DALF C1 and C2 on the third. DELF Junior sessions take place on a separate day.
- The group test (listening, reading, writing) brings together all candidates of the same level and lasts 1 h 20 to 3 h 30 depending on the level.
- The individual oral test takes place on the same day as the written test or, at the latest, by the end of the following week. Your invitation gives its date and time.
When to register
The following year's calendar is published in the autumn, and registration opens straight away. It stays open until the day before the session, while seats remain. B1 and B2 sessions fill up quickly, especially at the end of the school year and in the autumn: it is best not to wait.
The official calendar
Session dates are set nationally by France Éducation international, which publishes the official calendar: DELF-DALF France calendar 2027.
